We're a small business too — and we know what it's like to need real marketing without a big-agency budget. We use creativity, hustle, and street-smart strategy to help businesses like yours get seen, get heard, and get customers.
Streetwise Marketing is a division of TechMobility Productions Inc. — and we're a small business ourselves. We didn't build this for Fortune 500 companies. We built it for the barbershop owner, the food truck operator, the boutique, the nonprofit, the startup running on a shoestring and a dream.
We know how to stretch a dollar because we have to stretch ours. Our approach is built on creativity first — finding the low-cost and no-cost moves that most businesses overlook — and layering in paid strategy only when it makes sense for your budget.

Three ways we help you market smarter — not just spend more. Every service is built around what actually works for businesses with real-world budgets.
Service 01
Most small businesses jump straight to tactics — posting on social media, running a flyer, boosting a post — without a plan behind it. We help you slow down for a minute, figure out who you're really talking to, what makes you different, and what moves will actually move the needle. Then we build a strategy that fits your budget, not someone else's.
Service 02
When you're ready to spend money on advertising, the last thing you want is to waste it. Radio, digital ads, outdoor, social — every channel has a right way and a wrong way to buy. We know the landscape, we know how to negotiate, and we know how to make a small budget punch above its weight. You shouldn't need a $50,000 ad buy to get a fair deal.
Service 03
Got a product launch, a grand opening, a seasonal push, or a cause you want the community to know about? We help you build a campaign from the ground up — one that's creative, focused, and built to actually work. No fluff, no filler. Just a clear plan for getting people to show up, buy in, and spread the word.
"You." — We serve your community.
Big agencies talk about serving small businesses. We are one. We know what it feels like to have a great product and no marketing budget. To watch a competitor with deeper pockets outspend you. To wonder if the playing field will ever be level.
That's exactly why we built Streetwise — to give small and minority-owned businesses access to the kind of thinking, strategy, and media know-how that used to be reserved for clients with six-figure budgets. You deserve better than a template and a boosted post.
Sole proprietors, startups, brick-and-mortar shops, and growing companies who are tired of being sold overpriced marketing they can't afford.
Black, Brown, Indigenous, and other underrepresented founders who deserve a marketing partner who actually gets their community and their hustle.
Three steps. No mystery. No runaround. Just a straightforward process built around your business.
No intake forms. No automated onboarding. We get on a call and have an actual conversation about your business — where you are, where you want to go, and what you've already tried. We listen first.
Based on your budget, your audience, and your goals, we put together a clear strategy — starting with the free and low-cost moves, then layering in paid tactics only where they make sense. No guesswork, no fluff.
We don't hand you a document and disappear. We walk with you through implementation — answering questions, adjusting the plan as things develop, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks. You're not alone in this.
We're not trying to be everything to everyone. We're focused on one thing: helping small and minority-owned businesses market smarter with what they've got.
We always look for what you can do for free or cheap before we talk about spending money. Word of mouth, community partnerships, social content, email lists — there's a lot of runway before you need to open your wallet.
We're not a downtown agency looking in from the outside. We're in the same neighborhoods, shopping at the same stores, and rooting for the same businesses. This isn't charity work — it's community investment.
No buzzwords. No vanity metrics. We set real goals — more customers, more foot traffic, more calls, more sales — and we measure what actually matters to your bottom line.
Ken Chester has been building businesses from scratch since 1989 — and he's never stopped. He started his career helping people navigate the vehicle buying process, then turned that hustle into a nationally syndicated automotive journalism career, reaching over 150 daily newspapers across the United States at his peak.
When the 2008 recession forced a reset, Ken didn't quit — he diversified, rebuilt, and eventually launched into radio and podcasting with TechMobility Productions Inc., a minority-owned multimedia company based in Altoona, Iowa. His shows and podcasts now reach audiences across the United States and beyond.
Ken is also a founding member of the Black Automotive Media Group (BAMG), a collective representing over 150 years of automotive journalistic experience, working to increase Black representation in automotive media, press events, and corporate advertising.
